Adidas’ latest collection is centered around pure nostalgia.

Today, adidas has launched a capsule commemorating classic designs from the Latin American countries it sponsors.

At the center stage, the collection features Lionel Messi’s 2006 World Cup jersey and matching apparel. As football fans know, the 2006 World Cup marked the arrival of Lionel Messi. At just 18 years old, Messi would debut in the biggest football tournament in the world. He would go on to score against Serbia and Montenegro, making him the youngest player to score in a World Cup in Argentine history.

This collection honors the arrival of the GOAT by reintroducing the kit, track pants, and anthem jackets in both the Home and Away colorways.

Mexico joins in on the fun with a collection that honors the last time the country hosted the World Cup, in 1986. The Mexico Track Top 1986 is a tribute to the rich legacy of Mexico’s 1986 World Cup, blending iconic design elements with modern flair.

Mexico’s collection also features a recreation of the 1986 jersey worn by the icons of the game, like Hugo Sánchez. A matching pair of green track pants rounds out the collection.

The Colombia Away Jersey 1990 is a tribute to soccer’s golden era. This jersey is a faithful recreation of the iconic 1990 design, capturing the spirit and style of the original.

Styled by Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz, the 1990 reintroduction captures the brilliance of Los Cafetereros in the 1990s. The elegant gold and accented stripes are recognizable to this day.

Chile rounds out the Latin American countries in this retro collection with a faithful reinterpretation of the 1994 kit the country sported.

This collection from adidas is pure nostalgia. Though it has become a tradition to bring back classic kits ahead of a major tournament, this collection feels bold and fresh. Not only because it is bringing back Messi’s kit, all the while he is still actively playing. But, also, because it highlights often under-appreciated eras of the sport, especially when it comes to Mexican Football in the 1980s.

The collection is available now via adidas. More countries, like Spain, Germany, and Japan, are expected to receive the retro treatment in the coming months.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
