The once beloved Flight Club is getting another nod- this time with the Air Jordan 1.
Back in January, Jordan Brand celebrated the 1990s fan club with a special Air Jordan 4 release. Now, in April, the forever-incomparable Air Jordan 1 is joining in on the celebration.

The Air Jordan Flight Club was a mail-in membership program that gave Michael Jordan fans access to news, behind-the-scenes content, exclusive merchandise, and more, effectively acting as the original fan community for Jordan Brand.
Membership used to cost $15 per year (plus $2 shipping and handling) and included perks like a Michael Jordan photo, a physical membership card, an exclusive T-shirt, and even a quarterly newsletter.
The program shuttered at the turn of the century, when the digital world began to take prominence. That said, Flight Club left a lasting legacy. It provided fans with an opportunity to stay close to their favorite athlete, something that can be quite difficult in the modern age.
That same legacy is being memorialized on perhaps Jordan Brand’s most popular silhouette.

The sneaker’s upper features a black woven textile upper, a contrast to the white leather that dressed the Air Jordan 4. Also, the sneaker is dressed in White and University Red accents that further bring in the classic Jumpman DNA.
The Air Jordan 1 “Flight Club” will land at retailers like Nike and Foot Locker this Saturday, April 11th.
