CNCPTS Patina 990v4: Celebration of Classic Decor on a Classic Sneaker

CNCPTS is getting to grace us with their latest collaboration with New Balance.

The Boston connection was last connected over a collaboration in December with the 997 Montage. Now, the brands are tackling another fan favorite model- the New Balance 990v4.

Dubbed the “Patina” 990v4, the sneaker is inspired by antiques that have been loved and cared for over time. The sneaker’s material usage evokes the feeling of classic furniture or statement art pieces that you would find in your favorite local trendy neighborhood’s antique store. The upper is dressed in shaggy tan suede and complemented by burgundy, brown overlays, and a neutral mesh. Classic colors that dress a classic sneaker in style. All the while, giving the sneaker an aged, mature look.

This idea is furthered with the sneaker’s box, which resembles a travel trunk that has withered over time, with stickers meant to mimic the places these sneakers could have gone through their years.

The CNCPTS x New Balance 990v4 “Patina” will drop via an online drawing that will open for one hour on Tuesday, July 14th, at 12 PM EST for pick up in-store at CNCPTS BOS on Saturday, July 18th.

Online pairs will be available FCFS in limited quantities on cncpts.com on Saturday, July 18th at 10 AM EST.
