The Air Jordan Wings program has been changing students’ lives since 2015 and has just added another accolade to its shelves.
Wings’ mission has remained the same since the initiative kicked off over a decade ago. The goal is to level the playing field while helping kids have access to better education and the tools they need to succeed. The program continues to help students overcome barriers to higher education through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership development, all aimed at creating a pathway to success. In 10 years, the program has provided over 4,000 scholarships.
To better promote the initiative and to highlight their great work, Jordan Brand has released several sneakers throughout the last ten years. Classic Air Jordan silhouettes have appeared in the collection- from the Air Jordan 1 to the Air Jordan 3 and many more. This time, it’s the Air Jordan 13’s time to shine.
This special edition of the AJ13 honors the Jordan Wings program through the idea of progress and perseverance. The black wear-away denim upper transforms over time, allowing each pair to tell its own story- revealing a colorful layer beneath.
Growth often requires stripping away the old layers to reveal what’s brewing beneath the surface. In this case, the denim is designed to uncover a collage of colors and Jumpman graphics, with artwork depicting the Wings’ journey—from its roots to modern-day impact. The playground-inspired design feels rugged and built for everyday use. The more you scuff ’em, the richer the story.
The Wings 13 is designed as a bold expression of youth, grit, and self‑determination—rooted in the energy of the playground and the belief that growth comes through effort, resilience, and authenticity.
