A pair of Air Jordans that shines ahead of the rest.

First launched in 2003, the Air Jordan 8 Chrome arrived during a resurgence of the model. The sneaker that Jordan wore when he won the 92-93 title was turning 10, and Jordan Brand had great plans to celebrate the occasion.

That celebration saw the iconic Bugs Bunny 8 make a comeback. Another OG colorway also returned in the Air Jordan 8 Playoff, which arrived in a low-top form. It wasn’t the only low-top, though. That same year, Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 8 Low ” White/Metallic Silver”. This pair was a refresh for Jordan Brand, in more ways than one. It not only offered the Air Jordan 8 in a low-top form, but it did so in white leather, which at the time was not a consistent material or color choice for the Air Jordan 8. Nevertheless, the shoe was appreciated by fans. It was a more neutral pair of Jordans, with metallic accents and grey details. It wasn’t the only Air Jordan 8 to have these themes, though.

The Air Jordan 8 Chrome arrived in May of 2003. It’s DNA was shaped by the most iconic of Air Jordan 8 colorways. The Chrome had the black nubuck base, the iconic tongue logo, the glossy midsole colors. It separated itself from the iconic “Playoffs” and “Aquas” with hits of chrome on the tongue strap. This small detail was hard to ignore, especially when you consider the sneaker opted to feature neutral tones.

The Chrome 8 may not have been an original colorway, but it quickly became a fan favorite. The sneaker had a much welcomed return in 2015. Now, over a decade since last hitting the shelves, the sneaker is finally back.

The Air Jordan 8 “Chrome launches this Saturday, August 29th, via SNKRS and participating Air Jordan retailers like JD Sports.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
