There is nothing better than some Summer basketball.

With the NBA Playoffs heating up and the WNBA Season off to a start, basketball is at the front of our team’s mind. Long-time participants in our Hoops Club sessions know the SoleSavy team loves playing basketball. Some of us are more talented than the others- we won’t name any names, though.

We have reconnected with Foot Locker for our latest round of Staff Picks. This time, we are picking five sneakers that we are dying to play basketball in. Our motivations might be different, but at the end of the day, we are all curious to try out one of these models on the court.

Nike G.T. Cut 4 ‘Wemby PE’– The guys always say I’m built like an alien. I guess it’s time to move like one on the court- DP

Converse Shai 001 ‘ Iron Grey’– I’d come out of retirement just to see what the hype on the Shai 001 is all about – Jose

Air Jordan 40 ‘Wolf Grey’– LeBron is making 40 look like the new 20, so I want to give the new Jordan 40 a spin to feel 10 years younger- Kendell

adidas Anthony Edwards 2 ‘Glow’– No one loves Anthony Edwards quite like Anthony Edwards – and no one loves me quite like me. Real recognize real. The shoes are cool too- Lawrence

Nike A’One ‘ Hyper Pink’– A’Ja is such a big star, and the shoe had a lot of hype last season. Now that it’s on sale, I feel like I have no excuse to grab them and try them out- DP

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
