A decade after its initial launch, the comeback is on for the GEL-QUANTUM 360.

Launched in 2015, the GEL-QUANTUM 360 was visually stunning to ASICS fans and runners globally. The sneaker would go on to become an iconic sneaker for the Japanese brand. The innovative geometric midsole, featuring a visible GEL and Trussic technology, stood out in the running sneaker space.

The aforementioned visible midsole was an intentional choice by ASICS. The creative process for the original GEL-QUANTUM sneaker took over three years. Its philosophy was focused on creating a shoe that offered stability and cushioning. The sneaker features a 360 degrees of visible GEL-cushioning, thus arriving to a name that has expanded into an entire new series. The GEL-Quantum series has expanded several times- with the GEL-QUANTUM Kinetic and the GEL-QUANTUM 360 VIII recently getting the nod from several ASICS collaborators.

Now, ten years after the introduction of the series- the sneaker that started it all is poised for a comeback. It is tapping one of their biggest collaborators to help usher in the celebration.

Fresh off of releasing the highly anticipated revisit to the GEL-Kayano 14, JJJJound has been tasked with the collaborative reintroduction of the GEL-QUANTUM 360.

JJJJound’s upcoming collaborative effort on the GEL-QUANTUM 360 is the Canadian imprint’s celebration of the sneaker’s heritage. The monochromatic look of the sneaker is to be expected from a JJJJound sneaker. It is not about being flashy; but rather, about letting the silhouette and the quality do the talking. And, boy, does the GEL-QUANTUM 360 do a lot of talking.

The JJJJound GEL-QUANTUM 360 is dressed in an all white upper. A trendy off-white midsole with a subtle design separates the upper from the visible tech. The only pop of color comes from the reflective webbing eyelets. The “quiet” colorway is an intentional choice, according to JJJJound, as it “allows the story of visi-tech to take center stage.”

JJJJound’s approach towards the GEL-QUANTUM 360 is a far departure from the original colorways that are starting to make a return this year. The often vibrant colorways that met the vibrant design of the sneaker helped the shoe achieve the status it holds with ASICS fans now. That said, JJJJound’s toned down approach is a welcomed one for those more casually interested in the model. It also follows the brands ethos of elevated essentials and basics. The hype associated with the brand will, surely, bring interest into the model poised for a fun 2025 resurgence. And JJJJound’s popular approach to their collaborative sneakers are an easy toe-dip into the infinity pool that is the GEL-QUANTUM 360.

The JJJJound and ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360 releases via JJJJound on Thursday, June 26th at 12 PM EST.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
