Nike’s beloved outdoor vertical is enjoying a moment at the top of the hill.

Back in February, Nike announced it was refocusing ACG’s attention towards outdoor performance products.  The announcement came with a truly eye-catching collection. A collection that focused on how the ACG apparel could help improve your performance. The idea was simple- focus the vertical’s attention back towards what made it so beloved in the past, getting outside with intention.

With vibrant colors and sleek lines,  ACG channeled its focus into creating intentional products. Though the brand will always have lifestyle pieces, like the fan favorite graphic tees, Nike clearly wanted to bring ACG back to the party that brought them there. In other words, Nike aims to make ACG once again the testing ground for progressive outdoor ideas. In the short time since this refocusing, which was officially unveiled in February, Nike has followed through on that mission.

The flagship ACG Ultrafly kicked off ACG’s latest exploration into the outdoors. The sneaker’s outsole paired Zoom X Foam with a Vibram outsole- showing us that Nike ACG truly intended for this sneaker to dominate harsh terrains. The eye-catching Lava Loft down jacket isn’t just capitalizing on the future-retro aesthetic that social media is eating up. The down jacket was

According to Nike, the down jacket was lab researched and tested on trails. In a sense, it perfectly encapsulates the collection’s new approach. It is not just a flash in the pan- when you are out here, lab testing a jacket.

Most recently, though, Nike has introduced the iconic Pegasus line into the ACG vertical. The lightweight and responsive sneaker moves seamlessly across all conditions. Thanks to its approach of balancing functionality and comfort, the Pegasus Trail has become the most versatile shoe in ACG’s trail running line.

The Pegasus Trail utilizes Nike’s latest All Terrain Compound 2.0 outsole, which delivers on improved traction. The upper features a breathable, quick-draining engineered mesh upper that helps athletes stay cool and dry. All specs you would expect from a peak running sneaker. Or, for that matter, a shoe regarded as the Nike Pegasus.

The Pegasus Trail ticks off a lot of boxes, all the while carrying the legacy of some important brands within Nike (be it the Pegasus line or ACG in itself). As Nike ACG continues its focus on functionality, it will be interesting to see where the sneaker goes in 2026 and beyond.

The ACG Pegasus Trail is available now via Nike.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
